Spread good health and cheer this holiday season with some of our favorite holly jolly recipes, activities, health tips and more!

✨Day 1: Sip on a sweet treat.

Take your hot cocoa station up a notch courtesy of a few simple oils- perfect setup for your next holiday party! Make our easy homemade hot chocolate (recipe below) and keep it warmed in a small crockpot. Let your guests customize their cup of cocoa with a drop of Vitality Essential Oils such as Orange, Lavender, Clove, Peppermint, or Cinnamon Bark!😋 Don’t forget the marshmallows!

Ingredients:
4 cups milk of your choice
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Dash of sea salt
​Essential Oils of your choice 
Directions:
  1. ​In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-high heat until steaming and small bubbles form around the edge (do not let the milk boil!).
  2. Add the chocolate chips, stirring occasionally with a whisk until smooth and melted.
  3. Let cool slightly, serve and add a drop of oil if desired!

✨Day 2: Make scented pine cones.

Nature walk turned adorable decor for the house? Yes, please! Plus this is such an easy holiday activity for your kiddos too.
  1. Head out for a nice winter’s walk and gather pine cones - as many as you’d like. Shake them lightly and make sure they’re clean.
  2. Lay them out on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 200F in the oven for about 30 minutes. Let cool and transfer to a large paper grocery bag
  3. ​Add about 30 drops of your favorite essential oil - we LOVE Christmas Spirit - leave the bag sealed for 1+ weeks. The longer you wait the stronger the smell.
  4. ​Place out in your home for your holiday celebrations!

✨Day 3: See the lights!

We love to head to downtown Rochester for The Big, Bright Light Show.  ☕️Stroll the streets with a mug of hot chocolate (head to our Day 1 post for an easy recipe). Or plug a USB Diffuser into your car and pump out some of your favorite holiday oil blends as you cruise around and look at the lights. ​

✨Day 4: Prepare for the hectic holidays!

🍿We brought some corn for popping, and the lights are turned way down low. Now to pick the movie!​

✨Day 6: Host a holiday brunch!

​Try our twist on a classic with Mocktail Mary!💥
Boosted with Vitality oils and easily customizable just don't forget to serve with a variety of garnishes!
**The toothpick method: Allows you to get a more subtle flavor with the Vitality oils. Simply dip a toothpick in the oil and swirl through your ingredients.

Ingredients
6 ounces tomato juice
2 drop Black Pepper Vitality
Toothpick swirl of Lime Vitality, Cilantro( or Celery Seed Vitality) and Lemon Vitality
Hot sauce to taste
Your choice of garnish
Instructions
1. Fill the glass with ice.
2. Add tomato juice, Vitality oils, a dash of hot sauce to taste, and ice to the shaker. Shake gently to mix.
3. Strain into prepared glass.
4. Garnish with celery or your favorite toppings.

✨Day 7: Get crafty- make homemade gifts for the people you love and for yourself!

Such an easy and fun DIY gift for your kiddos teachers, your best friends, or neighbors!

Ingredients: 
1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
15 drops of your favorite topical essential oil (we love cedarwood, lavender, frankincense)

Directions:
  1. Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. ​Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30-40 minutes to cool and just set but not harden. Remove from refrigerator and stir in essential oils. Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
  3. Gently transfer to a sealable jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.

✨Day 8: Make something sweet! ​

Make a holiday sweet treat and share with your friends or neighbors. Try out our simple dark chocolate truffle recipe.

Ingredients:
12oz dark chocolate chips
1 cup, full-fat coconut milk
1 tbsp maple syrup
3 drops YL Vitality Oil of choice (We suggest orange, peppermint, or lavender)
Dash of sea salt
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Directions:
  1. ​In a pot, heat the coconut milk and chocolate. Add the maple syrup. 
  2. Mix until fully combined. The mixture will be thick and look somewhat gooey. 
  3. Remove from heat and add your drops of Vitality Oil. Add a dash of sea salt. 
  4. Put the mixture in a bowl and refrigerate for 4-6 hours or in the freezer for 1-2 hours.  After cooling, set on the counter and let thaw slightly.
  5. Scoop 1/2-inch balls and lay them on a parchment paper or foil-covered board. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes. 
  6. Roll the truffles evenly in hand before dusting in cocoa powder.  Eat and enjoy!

✨Day 10: Craft a festive mocktail!

Try this snappy drink with its intriguing, can't-put-it-down mix of spicy ginger beer and a herby kick of Rosemary Vitality oil.💥

Ingredients:
2 ounces NingXia Red
6 ounces ginger beer
2 drop Rosemary Vitality
​Rosemary sprig

Directions:
  1. Pour all ingredients into a copper mug full of crushed ice.
  2. Stir well to mix.
  3. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary. 
**If you’re hosting a large group of people, you can easily multiply the recipe to make a big batch. For a quick conversion that serves eight, use cups instead of ounces for the first two ingredients and add eight drops of Rosemary Vitality oil. 

✨ Day 11: Sip on a little cup of wellness!

It’s a busy time of year - are you feeling a little under the weather?🤒 Make a cup of wellness!
Ingredients:
Thieves Essential Oil-Infused Cough Drops
Copaiba Vitality essential oil
Fresh lemon or honey

Directions:
  1. Place 1 Thieves cough drop in a cup.
  2. Add 1−2 drops of Copaiba Vitality.
  3. Fill cup with hot water and let cough drop dissolve completely.

Bonus tip: Garnish with fresh lemon🍋 or add honey🍯 for natural sweetness⁣!
