Our BirthRight Services

Optimizing Fertility
Getting pregnant and carrying a baby to full term involves a complex interaction in our human bodies.  Whether you are trying to get pregnant for the first or fifth time optimizing your fertility is a key to our Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby philosophy.
How long does Optimizing Fertility take?
Each plan is individualized and vary in length but a good estimate is 3-12 months of consistent care in our program.
Can I get pregnant while Optimizing Fertility?
At any point in time during your Optimizing Fertility care plan if you get pregnant, we simply switch you into our prenatal program.  In other words, nothing we offer or have you do during your care with us prohibits you from “trying”.
Is this a standardized program?
We work with both perspective parents to evaluate and identify individual areas of needed care. Our goal is to understand the root cause of your fertility issues.
Examples Areas of Evaluation:

  1. Structural Care: Whiplash, concussions, head trauma, trauma to the tailbone, sports injury or other imbalances or injuries can result in lowered hormones, chronic stress, structural and postural abnormalities that impact your health.  We want to get your Upright in your structural form.  Many of our clients have gotten pregnant after achieving structural alignment using upper cervical chiropractic.
  2. Nutritional Care: Food as medicine is not well practiced in our modern life.  Many have grown up with “junk food” and “fast food” as the primary source of calories and the quality of food, toxins in our food and food choice all impact your cellular health and fertility.  We suggest a few simple guidelines on food choice, filling your cells with whole food-based vitamins, minerals and other essential building blocks that support your cells and hormones.
  3. Testing: We have a referral network of physicians that know how to test your DNA, hormones, and intracellular nutrition.  Identifying your unique challenges and deficiencies is often a very powerful way to increase your overall vitality and restore hormones to better levels. Supporting your DNA via supplements designed to fill in the gaps is simply revolutionary and the results are nothing short of miraculous!
  4. Specialized Emotional Process Work: Some clients have buried trauma or unprocessed childhood wounds that are blockers to fertility.  Fears and inhibitions hold us back from our true self.  Your wounded child may need some tender loving care to fully open into becoming a parent.
Pre-Natal Care
No matter when in your pregnancy you start care with us, you can explore Healthy Mama Healthy Baby practices and bodywork services designed to optimize your pregnancy and prepare you for birth. As a birth doula, I enjoy training and educating women and their partner on the benefits of natural birth.  Even if a woman opts not to have us support them as a doula during her birth, there are so many awesome opportunities to uplift women, reduce stress, and support a woman’s changing body with our BirthRight education and practices.
What do we recommend for Pre-Natal Care
1. Bodywork
With all expectant Mamas, we recommend 3-6 craniosacral sessions and/or pregnancy massages prior to birth. Stress reduction and supporting the changes in a women’s body is key.  Prenatal bodywork gives women the opportunity to tune in to themselves and their baby.  Along with the experienced guidance of our practitioners, we can help you know how to care for yourself and your baby in the womb during the many weeks until your birth. Explore our UpRight sessions here.
2. Creating a Birth Preferences Sheet
Of all the pre-birth decisions, your birth preferences (often called a birth plan) may end up being the most important documents of your pregnancy. We encourage Mamas to make these preparations beforehand in the calm of their own space rather than during the big finale!

Selecting Birth Preferences is a fantastic way to prepare for birth and communicate your desires to your healthcare team. As part of our doula services we walk through our birth preferences sheet with all our expecting mama's and their partners to ensure you feel empowered to embrace a radiant birth!
3. Products
We incorporate essential oils and other natural products to create the best experience possible during pregnancy. Many of our suggestions are rooted in tradition and are used daily in our practice. Your emotional center in the brain is connected to  olfactory, or scent. Essential oils in particular have the ability to go directly to these centers in the brain and ease stress, hypersensitivity and fear. There are so many uses for oil and as we often say, ‘there’s an oil for that!’
4. Care of the Womb
During your care with us we'll discuss many products, routines and stretches that can strengthen and support your womb care and set the base for postpartum healing as well.
5. Doula Support
We recommend that all women have a birth doula to support their birth.  BirthRight will provide a prenatal visit to discuss your desires and childbirth preparation, emotional and physical support during labor and birth, advocacy during labor and birth, essential oils application during labor, plus a postpartum visit.
Post-Partum
After the baby has arrived so much focus and attention is given to the care of this new little one but in keeping with our philosophy Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby we want to take care of both really well.  Mama and Baby need lots of care after the birth. Our BirthRight products, services and education keep you going to support you through the 4th Trimester (the 12 weeks following birth) or what we call the forgotten trimester. This post-partum period has so many firsts associated with it.  Having some loving guidance and support can really make the difference.
Healthy Mama Care
  1. Craniosacral Therapy: During this session(s) we check the alignment of the pelvis.  While the relaxin and other hormones still have your tissues/ligaments soft and supple it is beneficial to ensure the pelvic bones are still in balance. Natural delivery and C-Sections alike can put the female body through so many stresses it is helpful to support Mama to regain her structural balance as soon as possible.
  2. Belly Care: Giving women education and advice on how to support their pregnancy belly to get back into your regular shape is helpful.  So much happens in the first 12 weeks after baby and it is one of the best times to regain your shape.
Healthy Baby Care
Craniosacral Therapy: We strongly encourage sessions 1, 4, and 12 weeks after birth with the goal of releasing cranial tension from the nervous system. Birth is a lot of work on this head bones and easing any birth trauma on this system often helps baby to transition into life from womb to world much easier. We can also help evaluate for tongue ties or other issues that may be affecting newborns feeding, comfort, sleeping is a top priority.
